Homes sold in the Des Moines area climbed 26 percent in December from a year earlier, the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors said Wednesday. Pending sales in December were 1 percent lower than in December 2009, the group reported. The average sale price was up $3,033 from a year earlier at $163,002, a 2 percent increase. http://ping.fm/HAW9I
